workshop Nancy Summers Upholstery
The Museum of Miniature Houses presents its next workshop, The Art of Upholstery, taking place at the Museum on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Nancy Summers, a professional miniaturist specializing in furniture and upholstery, will be the teacher. A sample of her work can be seen as the featured image.
Students will receive a 1-inch scale finished chair and a choice of fabric or real leather with which to upholster it. You may also bring your own fabric. Please note that students must bring their own fabric scissors.
The workshop runs from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, including a lunch break. The cost is $55.00 for members and $60.00 for non-members. There is a minimum age of 15 for participants. The class is limited to 10 students.
